Hello to A Career That Soars!

Updated: Feb 12

Recently, we said goodbye to CollabSuite, the private Facebook group I've been running for several years where women from many professions and walks of life came together to support one another in career ambitions. It's not really goodbye, though, because we joined forces with an established and growing group called A Career That Soars (ACtS!) - a group with distinguished leadership with a track record of supporting diverse women to reach their highest potential...

Why?

The decision to move was difficult. A few important reasons I invited Collaborators to move to ACtS! are to expand our network, to give us access to new views and resources, and, importantly, to move the group activities off of social media. We've all fallen down the scroll scroll scroll rabbit hole before). This is important to ensure the exchanges / learning / mentoring can happen in a focused, distraction-free setting. Finally, the integrity of the founders of A Career That Soars! and their track record of dedication to advancing women made the decision easier...

Who?

I'd like to introduce you to Susan Colantuono and Michelle Redfern, the founding leaders of ACtS!

Susan Colantuono is the author of No Ceiling, No Walls and Make the Most of Mentoring. She is well known for her TED talk, "The Career Advice You Probably Didn't Get". Susan was the founder and CEO of Leading Women, where Colantuono has worked to uncover hidden gender bias and help managers and executives think deeply about the role gender plays in the workplace.

Michelle Redfern is the founder of Advancing Women, an enterprise providing research and advisory services on equality, inclusion and gender diversity. She is also the co-founder of Culturally Diverse Women and Workforces. Michelle is determined to contribute to achieving global gender equality in her life time.

Together, Susan and Michelle created A Career That Soars (ACtS!), the personal leadership and career development resource for career-motivated women. If you're an emerging or experienced woman leader working inside an organization *and you have ambition to advance... ACtS! is for you. I do hope to see you there!

Interested in checking it out? ACtS! lives in Mighty Networks, a distraction-free platform that makes networking with other members and attending group events a cinch. You can access the group via web browser or by downloading the Mighty Networks mobile app. Check out ACtS! at this link.
