About Mel

Hello friends, colleagues, and friends I haven't met yet!

My name is Mel and I'm trained as s Civil Engineer (Go Bulls!). But that's just one piece of who I am. One of the things I enjoy most is helping professionals, especially the underdogs, to reach their highest goals and ambitions.

I'm really grateful you stopped by. Thank you. There are several things I have going on that I'm  excited to share.  There are several different ways that I support professionals highlighted below. And I can't wait to see you in the one that's right for you!

To learn more about my day job work - water risk and corporate sustainability & resilience for industry - you can visit the Carollo website and reach out to me here.

Underdog Professionals

Underdog Professionals (also Underdog Engineers) is where I help early career professionals get a job or nail down their next career move. I do this through two courses - Catalyze and Ascend - that I facilitate through cohort-based learning (because I believe that's the most effective way to learn!). Click a course name above to sign up and hear when the next will be offered, or learn more here.

Find Underdog blog posts here.

ACtS! and Lead to Soar!

A Career that Soars! (ACtS!) is an organization for ambitious career women (sorry not for entrepreneurs) founded by Susan Colantuono. The foundation of our work is equipping women with what they need to reach the highest echelons of leadership - business, strategic & financial acumen. I am a cohost and facilitator inside ACtS!, where I teach courses such as Your Mantle of Leadership, Ascend, and facilitate The Alliance. As part of this, I also co-host the podcast Lead to Soar with Michelle Redfern
