Strategy and Business Development

In 2016, I was recommended and chosen for an apprenticeship with the Executive Vice President for Arcadis' Environment Client Development. This was a unique, year-long opportunity that allowed me to hone business skills related to strategic pursuits, financial analysis, and executive level decision-making.

During the apprenticeship (2017), I was responsible for research and analyzing market data to develop priorities and recommendations for VP to executive level staff. Throughout the year, I supported the North American Environment CD team across sectors to meet a multi-million dollar annual bookings goal. I worked with experts and data to identify trends in various industrial sectors to develop decision-making guidance for  leadership. Regularly, I presented financial reports to executive management in a comprehensive, easy-to-digest formats. 

Also, I participated in meetings between executive management and client account managers to provide strategic insight, particularly with respect to industrial water service offerings.

Finally, I continued to cultivate network connections to mobilize teams and catalyze business growth. In part, I accomplished this by identifying new opportunities, developing pursuit strategy, and proposal writing.
